THE NEXT UPPER LIMB COURSE
The Neuro Fit Team launched their Upper Limb strength course at the end of 2024 and are excited to be rolling it out again in 2025.
When: April 26th – April 27th
Where: Lancing Prep School, Brighton & Hove, Hove, BN3 6LU, East Sussex
Format: Two days of live In-Person training followed by access to the digital course and supported learning, with a WhatsApp group and scheduled zoom meetings to discuss with the Neuro Fit Team.

WHAT IS THE NEURO FIT UPPER LIMB COURSE?
The Neuro Fit Upper Limb course provides the therapists with the knowledge and skill of how to introduce a progressive strength training programme to the neurological upper limb.
The course centres around;
• Understanding the upper limb is part of the kinetic chain.
• Addressing the upper limbs functional anatomy and its dual role in being both open and closed chain.
• Understanding the need to load the upper limb as a basis for force production.
• Dynamic framework to produce a progressive training programme for the upper limb.
The Hybrid Neuro Fit Upper Limb course centres around how to apply this information and skills into improving ground reaction and reach of the upper limb.
The course is a hybrid model of learning and will include;
• 2 days of live teaching.
• A digital course including modular learning based on three areas of the Neuro Fit Upper Limb programme.
• Online zoom workshops with the Neuro Fit team where you can share ideas, problem solve case studies, and work through your questions and learning.
MODULE 1 : MOBILITY
Introducing the main drivers for upper limb function and how to use these as a basis in gaining and maintaining mobility in the upper limb.
Bob will introduce you to his favourite term peltruncular movement.
MODULE 2 : GROUND REACTION
Our favourite term in our original Neuro Fit course is ‘we need to load the body to explode the body’.
This section is about exploring how you can load the upper limb as a basis for force production.
MODULE 3 : OPEN CHAIN REACH
How we can move from a closed chain loading in to the chaotic world of open chain movement and how we can start strength training the upper limb as a basis for reach.
